Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) is a way for people to prevent HIV infection by taking a single pill every day. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends prescribing PrEP to those who are at high risk of HIV infection. If taken as prescribed, PrEP is more than 99% effective in preventing HIV.
